PCS has demonstrated its continuing commitment to developing industry-leading software for publishers by strengthening its development team in key areas.
The Wolverhampton-based company has employed three new developers to help progress on the success of recent orders and support the development of new and existing products. Joining the team working on class-leader PropertyNet, PCS’s browser-based property advertisement production system, is 26-year Drew Williams, who has experience on writing information and modelling systems for the steel industry. Shrewsbury-born Drew, who is married to Claire, will be assisting with some exciting developments in PropertyNet’s functionality. Keen on golf and personal fitness, Drew also likes travelling and is learning to play the guitar. Thirty-year-old James Toddington has joined the PCS Commercial Department, working on maintaining and adding to the web browser functionality of the company’s Newspaper Circulation System, NCS. James, who hails from Wolverhampton, has previous experience with the Ministry of Defence and working as an analyst and developer on systems for small businesses. Another with fitness high on his personal agenda, James is a member of Wolverhampton and Bilston Athletics Club and is training for his first triathlon in September. Martin Yates, aged 40, claims to get most of his exercise keeping up with his three children – Jack, Cameron and Cheyenne – aged between one and seven years. Married to Ruth, Martyn from Codsall near Wolverhampton has returned to PCS after nearly 10 years away working with CapGemini in Telford on one of the largest data warehousing projects in Europe for the Inland Revenue. He has been tempted back to add his expertise in database design and development for editorial and production systems. Welcoming the new recruits, PCS Managing Director, Philip Walker, said: “Drew, James and Martyn will each add to and strengthen the skills mix in our development teams. “By putting the emphasis back onto one of this company’s historical strengths – developing and integrating great systems for the publishing industry – and looking to intelligently use that expertise in other, related, fields we aim to take PCS on to an exciting future. “To do that, we need the right people and we’re very happy to welcome them aboard.” [ Click to return to top ] |
