PCS are wholly dedicated to developing, implementing and supporting systems for the publishing industry.
The company is wholly owned by the Claverley Group, an independent UK family group who’ve owned the Wolverhampton Express & Star since 1902. Since then the group has grown, additions included further newspaper titles. The group was at the forefront of the UK newspaper computer revolution and PCS was formed in 1973 as a result of this.
Since then PCS has concentrated on this core business and continues to do so to this day. UK publishers preference for purchasing from dedicated vertical market suppliers, together with the total understanding of this time-critical industry is central to everything PCS does. The staff at PCS is a blend of experienced newspaper and IT professionals committed to delivering the most innovative and cost effective software and hardware solutions for today’s multi-media publishing industry.
The company is well aware that tomorrow's publishing requires a seamless flow between both current media types as well as preparing for all the opportunities offered via future broadband development. Using the experience gained over the last three decades Press Computer Systems has created an impressive array of Internet enabling tools which complement their more traditional pre-press applications that can be integrated into traditional selling techniques to make some real web revenue.
